Today i up at this ungodly hour to await the new adult version of Santa Claus. Bed delivermen and the FedEx Man. He brings all the holiday cheer we're going to see around here.

Christmas is really shaping up pretty well though I'd have to say. All presents bought, most at the house and the rest *promised* by 12/24 (we'll see). Now I have to wrap and clean. Still not sure about whos house we have to go to which days, but i'm trying to repeat the mantra "Its just this one last holiday, then no one can bother you for over a month".

I miss childhood Christmas. I miss that giddy expectation, that blatant assuredness that Santa was coming and that it meant *great* things for you. Milk and cookies, television specials, cheap presents your parents went with you to buy for them, gave you the money for, wrapped, put your name on, and that you felt ENTIRELY responsible for.

Oh well, I think the only cure for that feeling is to crank up the christmas tunes (god <3 digital cable and its "Seasonal" selection) and wrap!
