I usually make it pretty clear to bear, please tell your friends not to stop by without calling. They always do this, and it happens right when I'm trying to make dinner or clean, or other unflattering things. Now I have a livingroom full of testosterone and a kitchen quite nearby that where I'm required to be making dinner.
