I'm in absolute awe of all the snow out there. We've still got power (obviously), and I learned something interesting from my mother last night. I guess for whatever reason when they built this house we got put on the same grid as the local hospital, so this house gets its power back often *hours* before everyone else around here.
And we've got a propane stove and a wood stove + plenty of wood. Despite how ugly it is outside, I feel cozy, and actually rather safe even.
(Please don't let the power go out anyway!)
